The annual Venture Prize competition is organised as a two stage process. Stage one is to complete the online application form which is structured as a simple business plan and explores the quality of the scientific innovation and the commercial potential of the project. No commercially sensitive information is required. Shortlisted applicants are then invited to give a presentation to the Venture Prize Committee in May. The winner is announced at the Armourers & Brasiers Cambridge Forum in June.
The schedule for the 2025 Venture Prize Competition will be published later this year but is likely to be as follows:
December 2024 - Application period opens
Monday 17th March 2025 - Closing date for receipt of online applications
April - shortlisting by A&B Venture Prize Committee
Monday 12th May 2025 - interviews of shortlisted candidates (in person at Armourers' Hall)
Monday 23rd June 2025 - announcement of winner at Armourers & Brasiers Cambridge Forum
