The Armourers & Brasiers Venture Prize is given as an investment of £25,000 to support the commercialisation of Materials Science research.

The prize encourages links between Materials Science researchers and the financial and business community. It enhances the economic impact of Materials Science in the UK by the creation of new businesses providing challenging and interesting career paths for Materials Scientists and Engineers.

Venture Prize Competition

Applications for the Armourers & Brasiers Venture Prize are invited between December and March. They are reviewed by the Armourers & Brasiers' Venture Prize Committee which has substantial experience of research commercialisation. The committee is chaired by Professor William Bonfield CBE FRS.

The winner is announced at the annual Armourers and Brasiers' Materials Science Forum in Cambridge, in June each year.
